The Black Box is a monthly subscription featuring a special edition candle! Our Black Box candles tend to be heavily influenced by music, movies and memories of our goth youth.

Each month you will receive a limited edition candle made specifically for our subscribers! We will not reveal the theme or scent for any of the boxes beforehand, but we think it will be a fun surprise each month.

SEPTEMBER Scent NotesFAQ

The Subscription is sold out? We are a small team and there is a limited amount of boxes that we can get out each month (in addition to our normal order volume). If we reach that limit, the box will be sold out until we are able to bring more subscribers on or existing customers drop out.

When will my box ship? The cut off for the current month's box is the 5th of the month. Subscribers that sign up before that date (or current subscribers) will see their boxes go out shortly after that date and we will continue to work through them over the next week or two. The boxes go out in batches (we are not able to do all of them on the same day) so it's totally normal for some people to get theirs before others. You will get tracking updates when they are on their way! If you signed up after the 5th of the month, your box will ship next month. For example, if you joined May 12th you will be receiving the June box as your first box.

Can I pause my subscription? You wont be able to pause your subscription, but you can skip your next box if you feel like the scent notes are not going to be your favorite! Please make sure to skip before the order processes (on the first of each month) or the skip will count for the following month.

I can't log into my account, it says "user not found" Most likely you have not finished setting up your account. If you check out as a guest, you will not be able to sign in. Please send us an email and we can send you a link to finish setting up your log in information.

How do I update my Shipping Address? You will need to update your address under the Subscription tab in your account in addition to your general account settings. This is because the system views the black box as it's own special thing and keeps it separate from general settings. Make sure the new address is set to default under the Subscription settings (same place where you skip boxes).

Size

Honestly, the most satisfying subscription I have. I gave it up for 6 months, thinking I had too many candles. I still have too many candles, but restarted my subscription because lord knows I need the dopamine hit of a pretty smell once a month.

Love it. I keep meaning to review the subscription candles. My favorite so far has been Beloved, although Amethyst is becoming a close second. My least fav has been Green Witch, which wasn't bad, but a little *too* green smelling, if you know what I mean.

My partner is allergic to this candle (which has never happened before, and I’m not crazy about the smell so I gave it away to a friend.

Black box is awesome

I've had the subscription for about a year now and always love the stickers and post cards. The candles are always unique and even if it's not my normal go to, it's nice to try new scents. I truly appreciate their taste and choices because I love all the same music/goth culture.

Oh My Goth

This candle smells amazing! The scent is perfect and like all Burke and Hare candles, it fills the room without being overpowering. The sticker was the icing on the cake.
