Forbidden (Apple + Vanilla)

Took around 2 weeks to arrive from the free shipping option. Packaging was nice, as it used minimal plastic and utilized all space. Very compact yet protected, and non wasteful.

The candle itself is very cute and when unlit smells like a sugary vanilla, with faint apple on the backend. Admittidly, I haven't lit it yet as I'm savoring my other candle at the moment, but the smell profile is pleasant and sort of reminds me of the strawberry pound cake bath and bodywork smell. The candles I've burnt so far all tend to carry the smell well through and area (rooms, or the entire house) and haven't given me or my family headaches. They smell very...natural?(in the sense that you dont walk into a room and think of man someone lit a candle/sprayed air freshener), and aren't obnoxiously in your face. The scents are very calm and feel homely.

This candle smells irresistible. I typically don't go for these scents, but the other notes turn a basic apple note into something almost sexy? LOL I can see why Eve ate the forbidden fruit. Throw, packaging, scent all five stars.

The apple is nice and fresh, not like a baked scent but more realistic and sweet but the overall fragrance is warm because of the caramel and vanilla. Really loving this one, wish it was a room mist too.

First time a BHCO scent has disappointed me. The two I purchased have a faint apple note when cold, but when burning all you smell is a caramel/vanilla like scent. A pleasant scent yes, but not what I was hoping it would be. I love apple so I was hoping this one would be a knock out!

This candle is what I always hope other apple scented candles will smell like, but they're always too much. Forbidden is a welcome addition to my home and I hope it returns.

The Valentine’s Day release candles are here! They are a bit softer in composition and throw than the previous winter and spooky season candles I’ve ordered. My favorite right now would be Forbidden. As I’ve come to always find with BHCO candles, this is not your typical artificial air freshener apple scent. This is a real, sweet, fresh apple, with a buttery caramel sauce served on the side. The pink salt component is subtle—-it comes across to me a little bit like play dough! Complex yet homey, Forbidden is relaxing while also more than a little sexy. Sets the mood for movie night and neck nibbles, tee hee :)
